Our Security

How are we safe & secure

CDRC take security as a top priority, this starts with the safety of each person attending the club facilities to the physical security of the buildings.

All new probationary members must attend a safety induction briefing before any shooting tuition can take place. In addition to attending the briefing, they must satisfy a committee member that they have paid due attention and can answer questions which were covered in the induction.

During the period of probation, they will be instructed in the safe and proper methods of shooting and gun cleaning procedures. They will also be asked to complete a questionnaire whilst under supervision to assess what they have learned and identify any areas where improvements are required.

Only when certain standards are met can they be considered for full membership.

Since 1909, we have never had anyone shot whilst at the club and we want it to stay that way!

The clubhouse has recently been refurbished and following advice from Surrey Police Firearms Officers and the Anti-Terrorist Unit, the building has been constructed to the latest security standards for doors and windows, together with CCTV recording stored immediately in the cloud and digital 24 hour monitored alarm systems.

We take your and our security very seriously.
